My MIL is like that. However, she lives in Italy while we are here in the USA. When I go there in the summer with hubby and kids, she can be very invasive herself. I've learned, in all these years, to completely "not hear her" while she's talking. It's amazing how a human mind's can work that well. As a matter of fact, she asks me sometimes:" Are you listening to what I'm saying?" My response is the same:" Of course I am. Can we move on now?" My point is: you won't teach an old dog new tricks. She is older and extremely stubborn. You either 1) confront her with no avail or 2) completely shut her out of your ears. There is no other way to do this and still, live in harmony.

I think I have a sinus infection?

My nose is all stuffed up and sometimes it starts to run. I have a cough and mucus comes up. I don't know what color the mucus is because I swallow it. My ears pop a lot, too. My throat feels itchy too. Recently I started taking allergy pills and these symptoms feel MUCH better. Also, my mom looked at my throat and she said it was red and irritated. Is there a standard height from the floor for the water lines that come out of the wall for a bathroom sink and toilet? I know it's a good idea to run them through a peice of 2x4 or 6 before putting up the drywall. I also know about the extension inside the wall with a cap on the end to absorb shock when the water is turned off. Here's the issue my 16 year old step-grandson and my 34 year old step-daughter live with us. "Sam" the grandson has lived with us for 4 or 5 years now. Why wont my windows media player work?

I have had this computer for almost a year and it still works great. but just recently, every time i tried to open windows media player or tried to play a file on windows media player it gives me an error message that says"the file wmp.dll has a version number of 10.0.0.4058 where 10.0.0.4036 was expected. windows media player is not installed properly and must be re-installed." then it asks me if i want to download it from the website. after i try to download it from the website it gives me another error message saying, "this application has failed to start because pdh.dll was not found. re-installing this application may fix this problem". i have no clue what any of these files mean. if someone could tell me what they mean and tell me how i would stop this messages from coming up, that would be great!

What's the hardest instrument to play? (In your opinion)?

I play flute, singing, recorder, piano and my sister plays the clarinet. I would say singing is the hardest, you have to worry so much about pitch and techniques, with an instrument you just have to press the right keys or bow the right notes. With singing you have to keep in pitch and support and there are so many things to remember. Next i would say the piano because you have to learn two parts and play them at thhe same time. Then trumpet because its so hard to make a sound on it. Then sax (making a sound on a sax is also very difficult), violin (because bowing and not sounding like a dying cat is something not many people achieve), cello (for the same reason as violin), flute (at the beginning the flute is virtually impossible, it took me three months to make a sound on the flute), clarinet (making a sound without squeaking is very difficult and it takes a lot of air to blow the clarinet) then recorder because it is really easy.

10's are by far the most responsive subs for metal! Make sure you run your amp crossover no les than 80 hertz. "hz" Alpine is fine for this. My favorite is the MTX thunder series subs. 6000 to 8500's you cant lose, Your amp is good for all frequencies, Rock, rap etc'. I would add another 10" for better measures. A 1 channel amp is better suited for lower "ohms" but Metal i would run 2 subs in series at 8 ohms for higher volume not louder b! Hope this helps!

It sounds to me like the Coach/Offensive coordinator has a system he's trying to mold the team into and honestly you can't do that. The players will play according to their strengths and it's the system that has to change for the players. From what I saw the only score was when Campbell did what he wanted to. When he hit Randell El he held the ball and waited for the receiver to get open. That is not what Zorn said he wanted. On the TD p to Moss he took a 9 step drop! That is not what Zorn has said he wanted. I don't think Campbel is the QB for Zorn's system. To get rid of Campbel would be a PR nightmere, therefore Zorn has to make due with what he has and let the players dictate the system.

When (and How) to tell kids their brother has a different father?

With as little editorial as possible, here is our situation: When I met my wife she had a son. She never married his father, but Tim sees his dad every weekend for 12-24 hrs. My relationship with Tim is great; step-dad with the emphasis on Dad. Now there are two more kids in our family, ages 2-1/2 and 5 mos. They don't know yet where Tim goes every weekend or why, but the toddler has started asking. She is very bright, but we're not sure how to approach her with the idea that her brother has a different dad. We have friends in a similar situation who told their toddler too young and struggled for a while. The child guarded the relationship with the parent that was his alone and didn't want the sibling to be close to that parent. Our daughter idolizes Tim, and we don't want to do anything to jeopardize that. Still, it feels like the "where is Tim" questions (and occasional tears) are saying the time is at hand to tell her. I'm curious, is this a case study for school or is this a real life situation? For what it's worth, the federal law does not state that objectives are needed for goals. Although, it may be a district's policy to have IEP's written with at least 2 supporting objectives per goal. Most districts would require at least 2 because having 1 objective would simply be another goal. Anyway, as for teaching methods, try using age appropriate social stories. As for the comm, I would consult with the school's SLP, but social stories can be worked here, as well. Accommodations to consider would be things like frequent breaks, a token economy system (this can also help with the behavior and social skills, as well), the use of a behavior plan for the outbursts and running. The adult istance also is considered an accommodation. Before formally putting in the IEP, I would recommend having a facilitator at the meeting to authorize this type of accommodation. The needs of these types of kids can vary so much because it is on a spectrum. Some are not impacted that much, like Asperger Syndrome kids, some are extremely impacted and need istance with every aspect of daily life, and some can be savants. Autism is incredibly interesting, yet we know so little about it. I can be of more istance if you can give me more info.

97 Sunfire...engine/several other issues?

Phillip, sounds like 2 different things. First, the idling problem is a vac leak. Probably a bad EGR valve. I usually just unplug the vac line going to it and plug the vac line with a screw. The car will immediatly run properly if this is the problem. Otherwise, I'd look at all of the vac lines. It takes about 10 years, but fumes from unleaded gasoline tend to dry-rot the rubber in the vac lines. They are probably hard and brittle. I'd start replacing them one at a time. Don't feel frustrated, I have to do the same thing to my 96 Subaru sometime soon....mine are shot too. It's common. Now, the pop...it's coming from one of the half-shafts. I would recommend replacing both. Make sure that you take a punch and mark the location of the struts and bolts so you don't have to re-align the front end. Good luck.

I am an American studying French and would like to volunteer in France next summer (2010). I was gong through a website, and it seems as though most volunteering programs offered are for 18 and older--I will be 17. Anyone have any ideas as to volunteering programs for a 17 year old who wants to learn the language more? I just want to thank anyone with concern. my cat,amazingly,has made a 100% recovery from a vicious attack by my next door neighbors dog.He would not let me get anywhere near him after I brought him home immediatly after the attack.(before I was able to let him down from carrying him inside my house he was so freaked out he opened his mouth, turned his head 180 degrees and latched on to my forehead, literally.It was like a scene out of a horror movie. tbh at this point im not 100% certain its residue, first off its a hard top for a jeep wrangler, so i had soft when i bought my jeep, then got a hard top on craigslist, it looked fine, nothing wrong with it, then one day i was comin home from work (i work till midnight) and it was foggy, so there was some dew on my windows, and u could read it plain as day, what sticker they had on there before, so im like oh, must jus be residue, so i tried scrapping it with a razor, and that wouldnt take it off, i tried it with windex too, that isnt working, so i figured maybe its jus really on there, sooo i go get some adhesive remover, and spray that on, like half the can ive used trying to get one side to remove (its on all 3 windows btw) and it didnt even scratch it, took some of my hard tops paint off tho, so now im not sure wth it is, its starting to irritate me cause i wanna get it tinted so im not sure if they can tint over that or not, cause when its sunny out, normal, no dew on it, u cant see a thing, u can see right threw it, no residue even appears on the window, do u think maybe he got that tinted on or something, i mean i really am baffled at what to do next, my next step would be call the tint place and ask if they can remove that stuff, or put stuff over it, any clues as to what that is, and how to remove it

I think that you are so young and you should really cherish the time you have to be with your family. I think this trip to NYC would create some great memories. As you get older, the times you have to be with your family and in this great manner really decreases because you get your own family and have a full-time job. That makes it harder to get together. You have so much more time in the future to go to Vegas with your friends. That's what college is for!!

You should definitely take advantage of being able to live home for as long as you can. You should move out when you're ready, not just when you want to. Living on your own isn't easy, you have so many responsibilities they you may not even realize right now since you don't have to worry about them. If you're going to move out you need to make sure that you have a stable job that you know is going to pay rent every month, groceries, and gas, along with any other bills you have to pay (cell phone and car if your parents don't pay it). You're also going to want to have a talk with your friend and her boyfriend to set some good ground rules. Sometimes you think living with people is a great idea until you move in and things turn out a lot worse than you thought. If this is something you really want to do it's not a bad idea but you should start planning. You've still got a couple of years to go and I would take advantage of that time to think about this, get a job and start saving up.

Hey, I live in Britain and I am taking a year 8 English essment on Friday. Its nothing big, just a little test to see if we should be in the group were in. Education is absoutely not over-rated - however, overpriced it certainy has - and it just keeps on climbing - we have been fairly lucky in Oz compared to other countries however, we are moving many of our courses towards shorter to very short courses run through private corporatised training orgs who are asking top dollar for quick diplomas. There are short training courses that unemployed people can do through other training orgs (not for profits) that are fully govt funded. Many University courses are out of reach for many people although repayments don't need to be made til you are employed receiving a certain amt of income. Paying for education is going to be thrown back into the laps of parents - the more parents ask for better teacher, better facilities and better education for their kids - the more they are going to have to pay - school use to be free but there is no such thing anymore as a free education - public schools have had fees for years and these are on the rise. Just because the govt contributes doesnt make public ed free. On the other hand, can you ever really put a price on education if it's good and if its going to get you somewhere in your life.

these nieghbors stink horribly. they do weed every night and fish bowl my room. i told on them now theyve added cigarettes to the mix and do it under my daughters room, which seeps thru the floor. they also cook stinky smelling bean stuff 3 out of 7 days a week. it makes the house smell like a sewer for hours. then they burn food at least 1X a week. they light stinky incesne which seeps through the floor its nasty. then they have it smells like rotten juice. what can be done about these smells besides moving? Since 50 meters is about l65 feet, it should be fine for swimming unless it is a very poor watch. I have gone scuba diving with watches like that.

My child's doctor recommened my kids take some Omega 3 supplements. The first ones I bought were Gummy Vites (my kids take their multi vitamins and they are just fine) and they taste awful!
