Help! I don't exactly know what a vinyl is!?

Lol, okay, thanks, although I feel that's bulls/hit. How many misinformed people like me will go and mistakenly buy these Vinyl's (I thought they were different because I thought they went extinct) to find out they wasted a ton of money. There needs to be warning or labels to state these do not work like cd's.
