Do Chinese people get racially descriminated against as much as other races?

if a chinese man married a white woman would he suffer persecution. recently in the news "The Boise State running back who scored the winning points in the Fiesta Bowl, then proposed to his cheerleader girlfriend on national television, says he has hired security for their wedding because of racial threats. " i mean i thought we have come further than that, but there are still idiots left in the world. but im wondering if Chinese suffer racial problems..i know some make jokes of their eyes and the way they talk, but is it hard for them to get loans or have a inter-racial marriage?
