Pleasee answerr... boyss and girlss need as much advice as possible !?

ok so my question still hasnt been answered !! theres a boy who is quite a few years older than me and he keeps saying im pretty and hot and things like that but i dont thinkk i am anyway the problem is that the boy is a player and he plays me so well but i cant get out of the hold that he has on me and its really bugging me because i get upset when he doest talk to me i feel like im just there for his benefit. any advicee pleasee ? im also wondering weather hes just saying all these nice things to me because hes a player or if he really means them ?
