What gives my professor the right to kick me out of cl!!?

Your prof has every right to kick you out for disrupting cl, even if he hasn't chosen to do that in the past. If you don't think he knows who you are (face to a name) I wouldn't clear that up for him - but if he does know, apologize. And make sure it's off in the future! I've taught college cles, and it's just rude to answer the phone or text in cl. And since it's rude to do either, just turn the damn thing off.
