Pet safe adhesive for costumes?

I want to make my dog look like one of the dogs from resident evil for Halloween. I can make the scares and everything with latex and such but I need to know if I can use a gum based adhesive and remover to put it on and take it off without hurting her by pulling her hair. If anyone has an recommendations I'm open for them. I would just rather get a second opinion before I try it and end up waxing half of her face lol
