Well your partially correct, but it is the democrats who want to get rid of slavery in textbooks, Lincoln was a Republican and Jackson was a democrat. And as far as separation of church and state, you liberals want to redefine what it meant. It meant the no establishment of a State supported religion, not that you couldn't practice religion when and where you as an individual saw fit. Remember they were most puritans, quakers, presbyterians, with almost all having belonged to one church or another.
